Casino Royale

Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond film and stars Daniel Craig as his first role as Bond. James Bond earns his 00 status after killing a corrupt MI6 section chief and his contact. Bond’s first mission as 007 begins in Madagascar chasing a bomb maker. He manages to obtain the bomb makers cellphone and discoveres a SMS message from Alex Dimitrios, a associate of Le Chiffre. Bond travels to the Bahamas after Dimitrios and foils a plot to destroy a prototype airliner.

Le Chiffre plan to profit off the failure of the airline is unsuccessful and leaves him in a large dept with his clients. Le Chiffre attempts to earn back his losses after setting up a high stakes poker tournament at the Casino Royale in Montenegro. Bond meats Vesper Lynd a treasury agent assigned to accompany him. Bond eventually succeeds in beating Le Chiffre. Vesper is abducted by Le Chiffre who uses her to lure Bond into a near fatal car accident in his Aston Martin DBS. Bond awakes after the incident in a cell where he is beaten into giving Le Chiffre the access code to the bank account which the Bond’s poker earnings where transfered to. Before Le Chiffre can kill Bond a mysterious man walks in and kills Le Chiffre for his failure. Bond and Vesper and left alive.

Bond then wakes up in a hospital on Lake Como. Bond decides to leave the service after confessing his love to Vesper. While on a romantic holiday Bond attempts to track his poker earnings but discovers that Vesper has stolen them. Pursuing Vesper he runs into associates of hers and during a gun fight sinks a building that drops into the ocean dragging Vesper with it. Bond discovers that Vesper was actually only trying to keep her kidnapped boyfriend and Bond alive by handing over the poker winnings. Bond discovers the man who is holding Vespers boyfriend as ransom, Mr. White after seeing his phone number on Vesper’s cell. Mr. White receives a phone call near Lake Como and is shot in the leg. Bond walks up, with his gun and says, “The name’s Bond, James Bond.”
